Dr Stoita is an orthopaedic surgeon at St Luke’s Hospital and Hurstville Private Hospital. Dr Stoita has an exclusive sub-specialty practice in hip and knee surgery. He has significant experience and expertise in primary and revision hip and knee replacement, complex joint replacement surgery, gluteal tendon reconstruction, knee sports injuries such as ACL reconstruction, meniscal surgery, patellofemoral reconstruction and realignment.
Dr Stoita completed the Australian Orthopaedic Association training program in Sydney and then travelled to London, United Kingdom and Hamburg, Germany where he undertook extensive subspecialty training in complex hip and knee surgery at two of the largest and most renowned hip and knee units in the world.
Dr Stoita consults at Hurstville Private Hospital in Hurstville and in Macquarie Street, Sydney CBD. He performs surgical procedures at St Luke’s Hospital, Potts Point and Hurstville Private Hospital in Hurstville.
Dr Stoita’s current interests include improvement in patient outcomes after knee replacement surgery through the use of robotic knee replacement, patient specific hip replacement surgery using digital templating, computer navigation and tailored surgical approach. Dr Stoita has been trained in performing both the Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) and the Posterior Approach in hip replacement surgery.
Dr Stoita is being involved in disseminating the most current management modalities and technologies in hip and knee surgery through multiple interviews and articles in local and national media.
